Ever since the new SafeWallet for Android was released two weeks ago we've been getting plenty of requests from users asking for an option to import their wallet from SPB Wallet.
To be honest, and this probably comes after a few very frustrating nights..., SPB team really worked hard not to allow users to leave their application. SPB Wallet simply doesn't provide any form of decent export from their application - hence not allowing anyone else to read their wallet data. Personally I think this isn't fair for users - you shouldn't force users to use one application by not allowing them to take their information elsewhere.
Since they don't offer any decent export option, you won't find any import from SPB Wallet anywhere. This became very frustrating for us since a lot of users were asking for the option to import their data from SPB Wallet to SafeWallet, especially with the new Android client release.
After we understood that there is no option to export information out of SPB Wallet in any form or way - we decided it is time to parse their wallet file format. After two long nights we figured out their encryption process and SafeWallet is now the only application capable of importing SPB Wallet files
The new SafeWallet import from SPB Wallet should maintain all of your SPB Wallet data. This include folders structure (including depth levels), properly selecting corresponding icons automatically for your icons and of course reading your entire card data and field types!
Please notice that this is still not an official release, but a first public beta version of the upcoming SafeWallet v2.0.2 release. As part of this beta testing we would love to get feedback from users who used SPB Wallet in the past and can try the new import feature and let us know whether your wallet was imported nicely to SafeWallet
The process might still require some refining, but the actual import should work nicely.

To use the new import, launch SafeWallet -> File -> Import Wallet, and select the SPB Wallet option.
Comment 1: We did not hack into SPB Wallet files - we parsed their encryption process and can now open their files. The user is still asked for his password to complete the import (hence we open the file in the same way they do).
Would love to get feedback from users about the new import feature
Have a great day!
