First, happy new year.
I made a specific customized screen for a HTC HD here : http://forums.sbsh.n...__fromsearch__1
My HD is dead and I got an iPhone 4.
So here is the iPhone version (near from).
Sorry but I don't know how to make a harcopy on my iPhone's screen, so you have to test it if you want to know how it looks like !
Tap on the compass, you'll have the alerts (with a specific icon if there's an alert) ; on a specific day, you'll have the forecast weather.

Free to you to improve it and share your comments.
Just one ask : I tried to use "UPPERLOWER" (for the 6 future days) but I did not succed (name of the day with a specific angle but not first letter in upper mode !). If you have an answer.

I've gone through your script and will attach some hints tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm not sure what you tried with "UPPERLOWER". If you meant for the days of the week abbreviations (eg Wed, Thu, etc) they are by default formatted as UPPERLOWER, ie the only first letter is capitalized. If you needed them all in LOWER case, use
#DATE-DAYOFWEEK-STRING-LOWER#
Also, not sure what you meant by "specific angle"

Two things :
=> "upperlower" doesn't work with french words. I still have "sam." or "dim." and not "Sam.", "Dim." as expected, even with your line "#DATE-DAYOFWEEK-STRING-UPPERLOWER#" you put in the file. Maybe a problem of translation ?
Any idea ?
=> please, what apps do you use to make iPhone screen hardcopy ? (OS5.01 for me, not jailbreaked)

OK -- with theThanks for your modifications; I took them into account with some modifications (I'll put my files later here).
Two things : => "upperlower" doesn't work with french words.I still have "sam." or "dim." and not "Sam.", "Dim." as expected, even with your line "#DATE-DAYOFWEEK-STRING-UPPERLOWER#" you put in the file. Maybe a problem of translation ? Any idea ?

Issue1: "UPPERLOWER"

screenshot1: using #DATE-DAYOFWEEK-STRING# with English as iPhone Language

screenshot2: another CustomView; French language in iPhone.....................screenshot3: French Language for your CustomView
So it appears that the iPhone setting of French Language automatically makes this PW string (it's hardcoded) as a lowercase 3 letter-period abbreviation; in English -- it appears as you wish (eg "Sun").
What's interesting is that I can set UPPER or LOWER for French and they appear as expected; only the UPPERLOWER (as you have said) does NOT work as predicted.
I will discuss this with Adrian (PW developer)
for the time being, just make a TEXT Object that has "Dim Lun Mar ...." and format it before the FORECAST loop
Issue 2: "Hardcopy" for iPhone screenshots
I make my screenshots of the iPhone4 (retina display iOS 5.0.1) by pressing the top and lower/round hard buttons simultaneously on the iPhone. This puts the photo into the "camera roll" of the iPhone ''Albums" in the iPhone "Photos" app.
I use DropBox (V 1.4.6) to "upload" any of the photos in this Album to the defined DropBox folder (in my case, "Public') which is accessible from any of my networked computers (LAN) or the internet .
Now I can look at the "Public" folder on my desktop computer and take that photo file and "attach files" to my posts on this Forum, or use it any other way.
Do you have DropBox installed on your iPhone?

OK for your explanation. I didn't know about screen copy by the 2 hard buttons ! Yes, I use Dropbox. So I'll make an update of my files and will put it here after.
photo buttons.png 43.19K
0 downloadswhen you tap the two buttons simultaneously (red arrows) doesn't that take a photo of your screen (ie a screenshot)?
Then use the Dropbox app on iPhone (or iTunes) to move that file somewhere so you can select it to attach to this forum post.
BTW -- Adrian is trying to "fix" the UPPERLOWER issue with French abbreviations.

A quick note to say that I have found the problem with UPPERLOWER - the fix will be included in the next release of PocketWeather, V3.4 - hopefully next week.
Thanks for reporting it - sorry it took me a while!

4 downloads - This should have all the files you need.
You may want to see some of my suggestions within the scripts.
You should be able to run both CustomViews (Metero & Details) from a single tab, then you can add yet another CustomView to one of the top tabs.

Somes questions, please :
=> how to change the "top heading bar" where city, time & day appear ? (I found ";heading" but no way to change something)
=> how to "erase" the information icon ("i") at bottom right ?
=> on the Detail view, how to be able to swipe on the screen in order to have other forescast informations ?
Last but not least, I do not understand your comment : "You should be able to run both CustomViews (Metero & Details) from a single tab, then you can add yet another CustomView to one of the top tabs." ; clearly, I'm not able to do that !
Thanks for your explanation.

Welcome back -- it's been a long time.Hi,
Some questions, please :
1. => how to change the "top heading bar" where city, time & day appear ? (I found ";heading" but no way to change something)
2. => how to "erase" the information icon ("i") at bottom right ?
3. => on the Detail view, how to be able to swipe on the screen in order to have other fores cast informations ?
4. Last but not least, I do not understand your comment : "You should be able to run both CustomViews (Metro & Details) from a single tab, then you can add yet another CustomView to one of the top tabs." ; clearly, I'm not able to do that !
Thanks for your explanation.
1. the ;HEADING command applies only for non-apple devices for the WeatherConsole screens. The top bar in iOS devices (Location CustomName/ device time and date) is immutable (though the time can be deleted with a special trick -- but why would you do that?). You can edit the Location name using the "CustomName" setting when configuring any Location.
2. The "i" icon (and it's TouchArea) are also built-in and cannot be deleted from the main page of a CustomView. It is preceded by dot(s) representing the number of pages/Locations to which you can navigate with a "swipe" gesture. Subsequent pages (not with swiping, but with a tap on a TouchArea) may not have the "i" or dots (or even the top bar) unless specifically scripted.
if you append "_explain.pwx" to the original filename (my CustomView Main file is "My TodayView.pwc" so its help file can be called "My TodayView_explain.pwx"), then tapping the "i" on the Main page will navigate to that file titled "View Reference" (title here cannot be changed here, but can be from subsequent scripted pages).
3. The "swipe" gesture is for paging -- on the Main page, it will allow switching the Location for display. On subsequent pages (when you have a TOUCH object with its associated TouchArea that you tap), you can script the navigation to go to any scripted page.
AS I suggested previously, If you script a TOUCH Object to be able to navigate to your DETAILS page from the main CustomView, then on the Details script you could also have TOUCH Objects to allow swiping or tapping to change the display.
;TOUCH-WINDOW
57%+98,16%+57 ,9%+11,36
metar_data_details_0.pwc
CurrentConditions
pws_data_details.pwc,metar_data_details_0.pwc,metar_data_details_1.pwc
The above object defines a TouchArea (57%+98,16%+57 ,9%+11,36) where a tap will display the screen (titled "CurrentConditions") associated with the metar_data_details_0.pwc file. A swipe to the left (while displaying that) will then navigate to the pws_data_details.pwc page; a swipe to the right will navigate to the metar_data_details_1.pwc page.
4. When you script a TOUCH Object in the "Metero" file to navigate to the file for "Details" , a tap on that TouchArea will display the Details just as you now have when tapping the tab on top. The Details screen will then be able to eliminate the "i" (the entire bottom bar) as well as the top bar with Location/time & date"
I know this is somewhat complicated -- if you re-send your files, I can look through them and perhaps show you some examples. If you go to the Wiki help site ( http://wiki.sbsh.net...her_CustomViews ), there are 2 excellent Manuals to describe CustomView syntax with examples, etc.

MTO.zip 313.59K
2 downloadsYou will need to rename it to MTO.pwy.
Then add it to your DropBox folder as described in your index.html.
The html file must show the exact address for the MTO.pwy file which is really a package containing the MTO.pwc and other files.
I've left the DEBUGTOUCH enabled so you can see where the TouchAreas are.
When you tap the top left -- the entire package reloads (if you need to edit).
tap top right - to go to your Details (first page) When you get here, notice: no top/bottom bars.
Now tap almost anywhere to go to the 4 colored pages that you navigate with swipes in either direction. There should be 4 dots on the bottom indicating these 4 pages. The top left Details button will return you .
I hope this helps.
My iPhone retina has a beta build of PW -- so your pages may not look quite right -- but you should get the idea.
... and notice that both Meteo and Details are available for display with only one top tab being used. You can still load another CustomView on the second tab.

Ok, I just wanted to change the look ; I prefer to have something like "Ville, le 30 juin 2012 18h30"

That's clear ; I wanted to swipe "directly" in a same "page", like the "forecast" menu, "details" sub-menu ; but I understand it's several files which allow to do that

Thanks for your modified file ; I'll take into account for some modifications.
"See" you soon for a next proposal.
