Suddenly this morning, SafeWallet is consantly force closing as soon as it tries to start up - 'The application SafeWallet (process net.sbsh.safewallet) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.'

I have uninstalled and reinstalled SafeWallet, cleared the data/cache, and even removed the SafeWallet folder on my SD card - nothing works. It was working fine yesterday. So now what gives? I can't even get it to start with an empty folder! Any ideas? I can't tell you the version because I can't even get into the app, but since I reinstalled it directly from the Market it is the latest version there.

Please advise ASAP, as I can't access my wallet anymore!!!! :(

Hi,

Same here, but i don't know if it started just today - it was the first time for some days i tried to open Safewallet! Thanks to Titanium Backup i was able to try Safewallet 1.1.8 and this version works perfectly, it seems that only version 1.1.9. is affected - so if you have an backup of 1.1.8 roll back and all will hopefully work again!

Had nothing changed on my phone (SGS2, KI4 Gingerbread) for some weeks, only downloaded apps-updates...

I hope there will be a fix for that soon - the bloody animations on 1.1.8 are horrible... ;)

Bye,Robert

I too have this problem today. I have since discovered after uninstalling and reinstalling like those above, that when i disconnect from the internet I get a prompt telling me my Trial Period is over and to register the software despite it being purchased

Hi guys!

I'm really sorry for the trouble with this! -b2- We just saw this report now for the first time (while reviewing all reports received today) and we're starting to investigate it right away! It is currently slightly after midnight, so we'll do our best to investigate and figure this one out even tonight.. but we might only be able to finish this tomorrow morning. :/

Thanks for the notice and posting the details about this issue. I'll post back with updates as soon as we investigate this some more and have a better understanding of the cause for this issue.

Have a great day! :)

Hi Guys,

So sorry for this.
there was an update to SafeWallet (1.1.9) which removed the animation which users didn't like much.

Can you all please post what is the version that you are using?
(Trial or Full net.sbsh.safewallet or net.sbsh.safewallet.st)
and what is the version number you're all gettting this with?

Thanks!
D.

HI All,

We have identified the problem and are sorry for all the trouble you guys had.
It seems that a test version made it's sneaky way into production...

We just now rolled an update to the market (1.2.0) which should work fine for everything.
Please allow a bit of time, as sometimes it takes a bit until google updates new version to devices.

Sorry once more, thank you for reporting this.

I am currently using net.sbsh.safewallet.st which has been upgraded through the market to the full version

When my phone has an internet connection the app 'force closes' when i turn off the connection i get a page giving me the option to 'register thru android market' which takes me to a page prompting me to buy the app or to use a licence key which i do not have.

Furthermore when I try to upgrade as requested I can see the new version in the full app but not for the trial which i am being asked to upgrade

please help

Hi bonsaiboyz :)

Thanks for the additional details! We're just starting the day here now and we will upload a new build for the "net.sbsh.safewallet.st" build too - so you will also be able to upgrade to the new version and get this fixed right away!

We will post more details in a few minutes once we get this fixed. I'm really sorry for the trouble with that! :/

Thanks Chimp for the status update - great to get a confirmation that things are now working properly! :) The problem we had was not related in any way to the actual wallet file - so the wallet data itself was completely secure :) We just had some minor glitch in the app loading itself which caused it to crash, which we quickly fixed within a few hours.

Thanks again for reporting this and for letting us know everything is now working OK! Have a great weekend! :)

I ran into the same scenario. It seems like this will absolutely how I can fix this problem on my end. Will try it out and good luck to it. I just hope this is right. Thanks.

Hi Tidaltides :)

This fix should definitely take care of this issue. We've had this fix confirmed from multiple users. Let me know how it goes once you give it a try.

Have a great day! :)
